    Great question- yet to be answered. I would have thought you guys had wear disproportionately on the left side. Your left turns are generally sharper, but for us it's the right turns. You're throwing off our theory :-)

The only think I might add is, will your already there, to squeeze the pistons out a little (not too much!) and clean them and the calipers with hot soapy water to help them run smoothly.     You'll find that for every part that has any kind of Loctite on it that Triumph says to replace the part. The three bolts holding the Triumph badge in the middle of the rear wheel rim being a telling example- not necessary.

    The drive shaft will flop around when you have it disconnected and while trying to re-engage it with the final drive. I doubt that is what's happening when assembled though- could be wrong. Since you inspected the top end (my first suspicion), could the joint be failing and have some slop in it...

    For a small bag I run a strap under the seat and up and over the bag. For large dry bags, etc I also tap into the backrest. I’d think you want to add one of those for anything of size
