    That's good numbers Tal, I'll never win an economy run, not when I'm 6'5" tall and weigh about 170 - 175kg (about 380lb) in full riding gear. Poor ole bike always thinks it's got 2 up!!

    Hmmm, my all time average over 10,000k's of riding (6,000 miles) is 6.41L/100k's or in US speak, 36.7 US MPG. The bike has just over 16,000k (10,000 miles) on it now.

    Well, according to the pic, the bearing is in there, then the seal and then the circlip, on the outside of the seal. It's not like that, (on mine) ya take the cover off, take out the spacer then the seal, the clip (if it's there must be further in, next to the bearing.

    Just been looking at the parts diagram and I see there is a circlip (Part 11) in with the needle rollers. I've not seen this, I'd assume it's against the bearing edge to stop it coming out, but the diagram shows it in a different order? What the go?

    I was told the part number T3201277 is a Stud: M12 ENC SLV. The ENC part stands for encapsulated and the SLV stands for Silver. I'll have to order some and see what turns up.

    Thanks guys. i cleaned up the studs and put some blue loktite on them. Went back together in about 3 minutes by myself. That jig holds it exactly where you want it and you can just move the wheel hub to line up the splines. The engine end universal was fine too, I've no idea what the noise...

    I agree Nashvegas, I also think being a motorcycle rider for 50+ years makes you more aware of your surroundings as a car driver, than someone who has never ridden for any length of time. Just my opinion.
