Hello everyone,
I'm now 71 years old and I l live in Ohio. I wanted to see if I could locate an old bike that I used to own. It was sold in Warren, Ohio around '73-'75 It was a 1971 BSA Rocket 3 that I had done some modifications on. The orange part of the tank was painted black and so were the side covers. They had white airbrushed designs painted on them (I can't remember exactly what). I also had the engine side covers chromed. I think it had 12" extensions on the front forks and pullback handlebars. It had a twisted chrome back rest and foot pegs. I know it's a long shot, but it would be nice if I could locate it if it's still around. I'm just getting older and dreaming about younger days.

Greetings from sunny North Texas. This may not be the forum you need to locate that machine. This site is dedicated to the newer generation Rockets of 2300 cc or 2500 cc displacement. If you know the VIN of your old scoot you can do a google search on that and see if it's for sale anywhere in the world. Otherwise, welcome and good luck.

Tried to find my 1959 BSA but no luck
Can't remember the vin # getting forgetful in my old age. Lol

You know it occurs to me that you should try something with a little more zip. I'm 73, way overweight, and I ride this thing from time to time:

True, but it goes like stink and corners on rails. The 71 BSA does neither. You may have to settle for close when it comes to the old Rocket 3's as they aren't plentiful. There are a lot of websites that cater to the vintage bikes you'll need to look there, unless you can track down the string of buyers for your old bike. Most likely it's either in a barn somewhere or the landfill. Sometimes they end up in salvage yards as well, but they won't have that listed by VIN, just make and model.
