Motorcycle Shippers

I'm retired, keep me in mind. :D
I tell you driving multiple days in a truck is no fun for me. This years trip to Wyoming and back was tough and I’d rather spend money and save the time. You lucky retired dog.;)

I've gotten so used to it, driving between Buffalo and Florida, I'm a driving machine now. But to pay someone to drive out west, they'd have to be put up for a week waiting for you while you rode, and then drive back, I don't think you'd save much, if anything, over shipping.

You’re correct we’d have to hire them for a 10-14 day salary. One up side is they could follow very day and have all the support and gear you could need in addition to having the trailer there. You might be right about a no savings though. We’re going to study it out. My buddy has a few CDL drivers that work for him already.

Depending on where you're going and what your plans are, Eagle Rider might be an option. Fly out, ride for however long and fly back. They won't have a Rocket, but they'll have big Harleys or, even better, Indians. Sometimes Wings or A/T type Beemers. It's been a while, but last time I did it, I got an Indian Vintage Chief (love, love, love that bike) for <$100 a day with AMA discount on a 2 week rental.

We usually tour on our Indians so that could work for me. I’d rather have my own bike however. If we had the trailer room I could take the Rocket for one day then switch to the Roadmaster.;)

I researched them a bit, it really seemed a fair price. Especially the packages that included lodging.

I bought a new bike a couple years ago from a dealer in Oregon and used Motorcycle Shipping | Transport - Get Instant Quotes with No Shippers to ship it to my home in Florida. It arrived safely and without any scratches. They even gave me tracking link so I could follow its progress in real time. Oregon to Florida is a long haul. Your results may vary.
