    Getting old shocks off

You tell me? Not to be picky (because I really don't know.) In the Air Force we were constantly told that WD40 is not a lubricant, but a cleaner. The mechs were supposed to use it to clean stuff but not rely on it for any lubricating properties at all. If so it might save y'all from some...

    rear shocks, old vs new

Yeah, if we ride 2 wheels that's enough to have a drink over. You know, I've been thinking (here it comes, DUCK!) I'm away from home a while, return and come online and immediately start raising hell with people. ****, I am getting to be an old crank. I'd quit doing that but I figure...

    rear shocks, old vs new

I never thought perdurabo and I would agree on something but "Yes, originally they were matched, HD440s on the rear. I had the 440s on the back for months before I put the new springs in the front. Replacing the rears were a much bigger improvement than the marginal improvement at the front...

    Rick Mayer seat feedback/Radar Detectors . . . ??

With all due respect to your experience, if speed alone were the killer I would be extremely and many times over, DEAD. Having broken Mach 1 daily for 12 years or so, and Mach 2 on occasion, I can demonstrate that I survived quite nicely, thank you. The big difference here and on the highway...

Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuse ME! I own it. I'll call it whatever I **** well want. I think everyone here is bright enough to know what I was saying.

    R3T stock windshield opinions?

Mine's the touring, but the 2007 before they "improved" it by reducing the power. That shield is not removable, easily anyway.

    R3T stock windshield opinions?

I wish National Cycle made their removable, Switchblade windshield for the R3. It's great, in 3 heights and removes by just pulling forward and down gently on the top of the shield. The faster you go, the tighter it locks onto the bike. It's polycarbonate and the mounts are top notch. We...

Honda owner thinking about a Rocket III Tourer

I've been riding since the late 50's and owned just about everything but a Vincent Shadow (which I would love to own.) My last 2 bikes were Valkyries. I loved them and got really pissed at Honda for dropping the line. I would have bought a third, hands down. I just KNOW they did it because...

    Rocket Oval Mirrors by Triumph

There is no thread size. The holes are smooth with a metal bushing-like insert. They are locked on by a large allen headed "screw" on the bottom that snugs up to a crush washer. What is strange, the right size just slides into the hole (bushing in place) and tightens up perfectly. The left...

    Rocket Oval Mirrors by Triumph

I did get the drilled arms, just for cosmetics. Mine are the "true ovals," not like ATM's teardrops, shown in his message. They look great too. I just preferred the conventional oval, being the old fart that I am. I still can't believe the difference!

    Rocket Oval Mirrors by Triumph

I can't believe the difference. I didn't really like the looks of the stock, round mirrors so I broke down and bought the oval accessory mirrors offered by Triumph. Best safety investment I ever made. Riding on a 6 or 8 lane highway I can see every lane behind me, almost up to the tail light...

    Rivco risers on Classic Rocket?

They work just fine on my Classic Tourer. The clutch cable could be an inch or so longer but rerouting it slightly makes it work. I didn't get any cables with mine.

    comfee seat

I can recommend you stay away from Mustang. Lumpy, junky construction and if you lose or break a part they won't sell replacements. You have to buy a whole new seat.

    Anyone know what this is?????

Ah yes. You're correct. Thanks for the download tip! **

Need help choosing a THROTTLE MEISTER

The black milled set is very rich looking. But, in the long run, beauty is in the eye of the beerholder. Oops, beholder.
