    1st to 2nd gear change

Just a pennyworth chucked in here, I find that my bike changes from 1st to 2nd a lot smoother if I preload the lever with my toe prior to the actual change. I remember having to do this as one of the owner's "methods" of riding the old BMW gearbox bikes like the 1100 GS, I tried it on the...

Ignition switch - is this a good fix

I have visited my Triumph dealer in Taunton and they spent some time going through the electrics on the bike, the bike has already had the Triumph mod done. They eventually found that the main connector from the ignition switch to the loom was faulty. As Triumph only sell a complete loom and the...

Ignition switch - is this a good fix

Thanks Ed, mine is a late 2009 Rocket 3, last of the standards before the Roadster kicked in. I thank you for your 2 cents and will make enquiries at my Triumph dealer regarding possible recals that may have been missed and see what has been done to the bike when they check the records.

Ignition switch - is this a good fix

Thank you both for your replies. Now that I have the problem will it suffice to buy and fit the Beaver kit or will I also now need to replace the ignition switch again?

Ignition switch - is this a good fix

Please excuse my electriacl ignorance but if I can understand the cause I will have better understanding of the failure and remedy: Am I currect in deducing from the comments made that the headlights draw sufficient current to cause connection breakdown in some way? I.e. the relay/connection...

Ignition switch - is this a good fix

I too am now suffering from this problem, my VIN number is long after the numbers listed on the PDF and I remeber seeing the cut wires when last the tank was up. It's just ruined my holiday in Scotland and caused huge problems getting home. I have already had one ignition switch replaced about 8...

Hagon "ROAD" shocks - anyone using them?

As I have decided to put money aside for the Nitros I have experimanted with settings until I have the saved enough to go for the change. I put 42psi in the rear and 38psi in the front (4psi more than std) and turned the shocks to 4 and the bike behaved far bettr than it was behaving before so...

Hagon "ROAD" shocks - anyone using them?

That's a very kind offer and much appreciated but alas I have to work this weekend, even if I do get out on the Sunday it's likely to be a bit late. I have turned the setting up to No.4 and will give it a go and see how I get on. I do understand the dislike noted on here for the standard units...

Hagon "ROAD" shocks - anyone using them?

If only someone had told me that 30 years ago  Diets are twice the price of normal shopping hence the budget. If I can't get some second hand ones then I'll try turning the stock ones up a couple of notches.

Hagon "ROAD" shocks - anyone using them?

I have been going throught the search on here all morning as I don't want to piss off the people who have been kind enough to offer advise to others in the past, however, I am unable to see any details on the road shoks that Hagon sell for circa £130. I am struggling to afford £300 + for the...
