  1. alarm system and the idiot that fitted it

Hi Peter, firstly you need to get the "Shorting Link" p/n T2500396, couple of quid. Bad news is - If under the headstock like mine, it's radiator off and real headache - but when you find it just unplug it and plug in the Shorting Link. Good luck!
  2. removing wheel bearings ? - anyone know how ?

Done a few wheel bearings recently and found these do a reasonable & cheap job of removal: http://www.nutsaboutbolts.org/loosebolt.html In brief - Choose the right size Floor Bolt i.e. M16 for your bearing I/D. Place the expandable bit in the bearing. Snap MoleGrips around the opposite...
  3. Best oil filter ?

Hang on a minute... all that other stuff really is crap - I fell for the fuel guage & seat etc just like all the others
  4. Best oil filter ?

If you want to save a few bucks - why even bother changing the oils or filters  On the other hand, if you want the best for your bike get the originals and don't skimp... ask yourself - if your up for a blood transfusion and liver/kidney transplant - will any old second rate crap do...
  5. Garmin from Harbour Audio LLC.

  6. First Service

Are you dead sure about that? You don't want to risk the dealer using the most convinient excuse like "you didn't use approved dealer" for refusing to repair/fix something after the event  Suggest you shop around but try & stick with a Triumph dealership if possible.
  7. Disc brake bolts.

If you want S/S for cosmetic reasons, get a bag of the plastic chrome button caps used in the rocker box allen bolts - and just tap them in to your existing disc allen bolts with a soft hammer
  8. Differentials.

If you ever wondered how they work. :? Should be a warning at the begining - Don't try this at home folks! http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=0ae_1256242262
  9. U.K. Rocket Rental?

Someone's been spreading a rumour that I've got a spare Rocket too  No-one's actually seen it though
  10. U.K. Rocket Rental?

Kept that quiet, mid-life thing is it Leigh
  11. U.K. Rocket Rental?

You haven't got a spare R3 to rent out then Leigh?
  12. Clutch smell

Think my crutch would smell a bit after 800 miles too  Bike's fine I'm sure - get yourself showered mate
  13. Triumph Rocket 111 Fuel Guage

In hindsight I would have saved the £130 and spent it on fuel instead  Connecting instructions come with it.
  14. Is this the bearing problem starting?

Thought similar to Skip's comment when my front wheel bearings went on the FJR last week, sounded like front pads metal on metal! DangerousDave might be able to give his recent account...
  15. Bridgestone rear tyre

That's a shame  If it was priced right, it might have tempted me back to a normal bike tyre, will have to keep on rollin' with my £80 - 245
