    2005 ignition switch removal

    Well, the two fasteners that hold the switch to the bracket look like some kind of rivet. There are four normal torx screws that hold the bracket to the bottom of the top triple tree. I just took those out and replaced the bracket and all. 😀

    I have to replace my ignition switch due to something going south in the tumbler area, making very difficult to get the key in. Does anyone have an easy way to get the tamper resistant screws out ?

    C-Clip failure...trashed transmission.

    Mine shatted at about 70,000 miles. Mine had the second gear repaired at the dealership before I got it. They put all the circlips on backwards. Yours may never have a problem. If you have a heel / toe shifter, I wouldn't use the heel part. I believe they cause a lot of transmission problems...

    I got the jumbo's. Mounting is a little tricky. They are not pre-drilled. The first one isn't too bad, hold it where you want it and mark it. The second one is a bit trickier to get exactly in the same position as the first one. The trim rails are pretty easy to mount. Again, not pre-drilled. I...
