    I replaced my ignition because it got where it didn't want to turn. Very long story short, my key was worn out ! The old ignition works fine with the spare key 😕

    This pic is what you are trying to do. See post number 3 in this thread posted by me. That is the closest thing to a step by step I have seen. That's what I used to fix mine. It's not hard to do.

    It seems like the hydrolock would have shown up when you were turning the engine over to check the valve clearances 🤔

    The trick is to pull the clutch lever in at the same time you press down on the shifter. It takes a little practice, but it eliminates the problem.

    I thought most modern shocks had nitrogen under pressure in them. May not be safe to open up ?

    They are stock length with the heavy duty springs. I'll have to measure the eye to eye length. I'll do that tomorrow and post it up. Thanks Bill !

    The left shock is leaking. It was kind of a relief. When I saw the oil on the floor my first thought was diff. It didn't smell like diff oil, so then I thought front u-joint spline seal. Shocks are cheaper and easier than either one of those problems.
