Quick novice question.
My 06 has 10k on engine. I pulled pistons out the bottom of sleeve with the thought of sending the engine case for transmission work by Robinson transmission. Now I know he wanted shafts and forks only. Oops
I Didn't pull the head off due to low miles. Manual stated the...
Email from Robinson stated to only send the input and out shaft assemblies with all parts included.
Parts will fit in a smaller shipping container then originally planned.
Broke the ladder bolts free one at a time and re-tightened them to account for the release sequence . Do not like the taste of a %%%%$ sandwich no matter whats on it.
Thanks for the warning though!!
Got a novice question and don't want to appear as if I'm barging in on Sonny's thread . Hope you don't mind Sonny but we are at a similar point and intend on sending trans to Robinson.
With cases split, what should I send to Robinson? Take crank out?
What is your plan Sonny?
Glad you finally got the engine out.
Had to work the front engine mount bolt on mine as well but finally got it.
Just split the cases today. Was at war with the cam ladder torx bolts to get to this point.
Maybe I'm being overly careful. Inner ladder bolts broke free with no issues. Observing the 1/2 turn per bolt to evenly take cam pressure off . Outer bolts not budging though.
I'm a bit concerned of applying too much heat on the mounting point .
Hello,
Trying to get cam ladder torx bolts to break free.
I"m concerned of the equal tension. tried heating them but unsure of how much I can get away with.
Already broke a socket. Advice would be much appreciated.
