2006 Rocket III Clutch Lifter arm position.

I was fortunate to speak to Ed at Carpenter racing. I took the front cover off again and had no damage to pushrod and or lifter shaft. I took all the components to his shop. He stated the clutch fibers and steel plates are good. Only thing he could think of was removing the wavy washer due to...

2006 Rocket III Clutch Lifter arm position.

When I adjust the cable for more free play " loosening it up", the clutch lever when pulled has resistance but doesn't engage the clutch . I seem to be at the very end of the adjustment at the clutch cover and the lever.

I read Another clutch question post on the lifter piece pictured below and lifter on the right is the one I just installed . The one on the left is what was originally in the bike with wavy washer only. This stumps me even more. I feel I'm rather late to the Rocket iii party .

The clutch lever 1-4 positions I interpret as how far you want the lever to stick out for more grip or position in your hand. I think in my case it wouldn't matter. Mine is set at position 1.. Can't understand how I lost the free play. I followed the shop manual thru a complete engine removal /...

2006 Rocket III Clutch Lifter arm position.

Hello all! Getting my butt whooped with this 2006 rocket iii clutch. Turns out that being stored for so long, I had the clutch cable routed under the Triple tree which lead to the first attempt going wrong. . On second attempt, I believe I had the plunger engaged correctly with lifted shaft...

IF I rotate it to the original point , It is impossible to attach the cable. My question is does it matter that the dots line up as in the original picture? Thanks for your reply!

2006 Rocket III Clutch Lifter arm position.

Im finally finishing up on a 2nd gear upgrade due to Transmission issue. I noticed when attaching the clutch cable to Clutch lifter arm that the position doesn't match the rotation point when I originally took it apart in 2021.. First picture is original position . 2nd is as it is now. Cable has...

    THE REBIRTH OF NUMBER 74

Quick novice question. My 06 has 10k on engine. I pulled pistons out the bottom of sleeve with the thought of sending the engine case for transmission work by Robinson transmission. Now I know he wanted shafts and forks only. Oops I Didn't pull the head off due to low miles. Manual stated the...

    THE REBIRTH OF NUMBER 74

I used an pneumatic impact gun with socket on the puller and no issues. I think by hand would have been more difficult.

    THE REBIRTH OF NUMBER 74

Email from Robinson stated to only send the input and out shaft assemblies with all parts included. Parts will fit in a smaller shipping container then originally planned.
