2 1/2 quarts and it overflowed

Thanks! I'll get down on the garage floor with my laptop to check things out. Stay tuned ;-)

2 1/2 quarts and it overflowed

The main oil drain on mine isn't like the other 2. No place I can see for a crush washer. I checked to see if it was stuck to the pan. Nope. Didn't seem like 6 drained tho last time I checked the level 2 weeks ago it was full. Seems weird that noting came out of the drain just behind the...

2 1/2 quarts and it overflowed

I'm feeling like an idiot here. Just did the 1st oil change (for me) on my '12 R3R. Followed the sequence of removing the 3 drain plugs in order (no crush washer on #1) and removed the filter. Lots of oil drained from #1, nothing from 2 & some from 3. Replaced plugs. New oil filter. About...

Utopia back rest for the R3T...another option

I have the Utopia on my R3R as well as on my Vic XCT. Love 'em on both bikes. Top notch product, fair price, good service. Just make sure you put a drop of blue Lok Tite on the adjustment screw.

    Motorcycle driver's test

I had ridden for 10s of 1,000s of miles & many years but had never heard of countersteering until I took the course. I was probably doing it, but noe conciously. A buddy of mine got an R3 a few years ago. He complained that it was such a beast to handle. I asked if he was countersteering...

    Motorcycle driver's test

When Michigan instituted MC licenses in the early/mid 60s, I just had to sign an affidavit stating I had ridden over 10,000 mile and I was good to go. Always made sure to renew the MC endorsement ($5) when I renewed my dirvers' license even during my non-riding years so never had to take the...

    Geezer conversion

Seabum, don't know where you're located but Claude at C. Stanley Motorsports (Middleburg, PA) has built a couple of custom rigs for me. He's also a Hannigan dealer. There's no one better.

If you haven't done it yet, Rick, take a run at Ozello Trail. Best road I've fpund down there so far.

    Hello from Weeki Wachee

Sounds like we've got the makings of a mid FL R3 group.

    Hello from Weeki Wachee

My buddies & I were at the Freezer all three nights we were in FL last month. Love that place! Have a '12 R3R myself. Live in Sugarmill Woods.

    Hello from Weeki Wachee

Welcome from Homosassa, neighbor. I spend my winters in your neck of the woods & just brought my R3R down there. Will be down for the winter just after Xmas. Maybe we'll run into each other.

How old is too old for an old man to be riding a R3R.

I learned to drive a sidecar outfit years ago so that when the time came that I could no longer manage a 2 wheeler, I could still have the wind in my face. I've logged thousands of miles with a sidecar rig but, for now, still prefer 2 wheels under me. In fact, I sold my Goldwing rig to buy my R3R.

69 & still riding the hell out of my R3R...and 4 other "little" bikes. Actually, my Vic XCT is bigger (longer & heavier) than the R3R but a LOT less motor.
