Toolittletime,
Mate, this looks really good.
Always good to see someone doing it themselves, your work is impressive.
Please keep the photos coming, as time allows!
Pete,
Sorry, it is the 7100, full Synth
And, sorry, i sold the bike :(
I now have a 2006 BMW R1200 GSA, great on the roads i ride, as in typical rough Vic ones.
Its just a bit underpowered.
Seems strange but i have 2 x 4L containers of MOTUL 7100 and a filter to suit a R3 Roadster.
Really only suits pick up but $50.00 for the lot would do it
Gary
Mick,
I did then where i worked i could buy MOTUL.
After i changed it was the first time i have felt a differance between oils, seemed to hook up and take off better.
Im using PENRITE in my BMW R1200 GSA though and its fine, no wet clutch though.
Not bad, i watch a bit of F9 reviews.
I dont think he mentions what pressure he is running here though, and that makes a differance.
I am enjoying my DS, it suits me.
Ill give it a go, but when i mention i am after something that i can fit to a motorcycle most seem to have a little fit.
I may have an old school Auto elec that might help.
Warp, that would be why.
That would be a lot cheaper, i imagine.
Would you be willing to do the same again?
If so, let me know the total cost, plus a bottle of whatever you chose for your trouble.
Oz,
I was going to do that, but the single wire connection to the solenoid would not reach with the motor housing and brushes fitted up.
The wire exits at a different rotation point to the original.
Thanks Joesmoe, i thought i had cross referenced it correctly, but no.
I already have the larger earth cable thanks to Mittzy, and that helped a lot.
I think ishrub may have sourced the starter from overseas, hopefully we hear from him on this.
