    I agree. Try and pick one up when it slides out from underneath you in the gravel. A lighter bike is a better first choice. Just my opinion (From experience)

    Just wondering . I live near Marville Tn. Is there a schedule for Sunday? I was thinking about riding out there to maybe meet some of the group. It's only a couple of hours but I would hate to miss everybody if they are on a ride.

    Not possible. I tried to get into mine . The only option was to cut the case in half with a Dremel, so I ordered a new one. Now I have a souvenir.

    After a bunch of time going over the electrical schematic I have a better grip on how the electrical system is set up. I picked up a 12 volt LED with a built in resister. I hooked it up to the B/W connection and ground. It lit up and works as it should meaning the gear position switch is good...

    You are correct , the b/w wire and the switch checkout good, so the only conclusion is that the tach is the problem. Thanks for the help!

    Yes, I have the manual but I don't quite understand if should read voltage at the tach or if the gear indicator breaks ground to turn the Neutral LED on.

    Can anyone help me with the proper way to diagnose the neutral LED in the tach on a 2007 R3 standard. It is out and the dealer suggests a new tach at 450.00. I checked the B/W wire in the connector at the tach and it shows 0 voltage in neutral and 3.5 volts when it is in gear. The gear...
