Is fork dipping when front brakes applied at very slow speed normal?

'Telescopic forks' are a very real peeve of mine. Right up there with anemic .50cent OEM horns on $15,000, 150+mph motorcycles. Equipping a 500+ pound motorcycle with Telescopic forks is like a modern Ferrari equipped with leaf-springs and solid rear axle. A GD Leading-link(Google-Greeves...

    Third Rocket in 3 years!

Just recently having to sell my much loved 2014 Rocket III Roadster I relate in several ways. In respect to engine, drivetrain, frame, and aesthetics I would eagerly buy another R3. But Triumph's continued following the herd with respect to the front suspension/steering would make me pause...

With a heavy heart I bid farewell.

The "Cajon Pass" is a 15+ mile stretch of the I-15 Freeway between the low altitude Inland Empire of LA, Orange County, and Metropolitan San Bernardino to Victorville/Hesperia where the "395" meets I-15 at about 3500ft above sea level. The vistas are incredible, and doing it on an R3R can only...

With a heavy heart I bid farewell.

Thank you 'joesmoe' for your continued hospitality, I gratefully will keep in touch with this forum. It has given me much information and entertainment in the last 2.5 years with Prudence. 'Scot in exile' Moving to California's High-Desert 4 years back, its "wide open roads", and near-by...

With a heavy heart I bid farewell.

A non-injury accident that recently totaled my faithful Golf TDI:banghead:, as well as some upcoming, costly, and necessary front-end maintenance needed on the Rocket III:eek:; pushed the hand that necessitated selling my 'Prudence'.:( I'm sorely going to miss the feeling of being King S**t with...

    Helmet Recommendation?

I've worn a passel of helmets since I started riding in 1969-70. Back then a Bell Star cost $80, and a BMW R/75/5 cost around $1500.00. IMHO 'modulars' are a compromise and a testimonial to why KISS works even today in the 'age of information'. Even the brazenly pricey example's mechanisms...

    DO YOU OUTRIDE YOUR HEADLIGHTS?

My question is; Who still relies on the stock P O S they call a horn on modern motorcycles?

Somewhat new to the R3T Lifestyle..

Barndoor windshields tall and short create buffeting, and speed robbing, gas-guzzling resistance, and drag. I cured both with the 'Sport-shield'

    Oil Drain Plug washers

I've had washers remain oil tight for the life of motorcycles I've changed oil scores of times on. Currently, I have 'One', forward 'right' drain plug that occasionally spots while the other two re-used washers are oil tight. Maybe next oil change I'll splurge.

Putting it away for the winter

Pretty much the same for the entire southwest; compatriot. I personally FULLY empathize except for the "rain" part.
