    Came home after a good ride and measured header temps with bike still idling in garage. Sorry for the blurred images. Headers at the block (360F-370F) Heat Shields (145F-155F). This is with the Jet Hot Ceramic coating applied.

    Here's a link to where I had mine done. ( Ceramic Header & Exhaust Coating | Jet-Hot ) They coat both inside and out and apply any color of your choice. Cerakote is more of a durable, decorative coating, while ceramic coatings are designed for heat resistance and insulation.

    Thank you. Haven't had a chance to ride yet, bad weather. I did start and heat up, then cool down a couple of times to re-torque bolts. you can smell the ceramic on the pipes is strong. But will eventually wear off. It will be hard to tell how much difference it makes. Should have taken temps...

    The total cost was $403. ($150. was for shipping and insurance). They ceramic coat inside and out then put a top coat of what color you want.     I didn't care for the discoloring on my stainless headers. So I sent them to Jet Hot Performance Coatings. Just Got them back on. IMO, this is how it should have came from the manufacturer.
