    Update So, pulled tank and fuel pump assembly... imfg !!! thegas that came out (5 gals) was dark brown smelt sickly sweet and inside of tank and fuel pump assembly rusted and nasty as hell, will post pics, soon. End of the fuel pump before tea bag strainer there was dark brown gooey substance...

    pump up the jam To be honest it don't think i hear a **** thing from the pump, been a long while since i heard the sound, so cannot be sure. But i really don't think the pump is priming, engaging or any other action. Added a brand new gallon of gas and seafoam

    fuel pump ? Ok, so ... checked all connections, fuses, relays....all seem good. Lifted tank, and removed fuel line from rail and hung it in a gas can, a tiny amount of fuel (thimble full) dribbled out. So, put key in turned ignition on, everything cycles as it should (low fuel STILL on)...

    Update - Stil Help Many thanks for responses, please keep contributing, issue not fixed. I have pulled tank up and checked, connections, fuses etc, have added new fuel and seafoam, gas does smell funky though.. i have sprayed starter fluid in air breather and runs somewhat....obviously...

    follow up probably should have been more specific, bike was ridden from new until a year ago, nail in rear 240 put her in garage (i also have vtx1800 that became my daily ride) so for a year she had: draining/drained battery attached. gas left in tank (don't know how much) Old oil flat...
