    I applied a ceramic coat to the aluminum bits when I coated the rocket. Didn't think of lacquer - will have to give it some thought :)

    Nah - the splash guard was easy to get to since the screws face towards the back (not towards the wheel)

    I cant figure out how to remove the top cover... There are 2 hex heads behind the reflector (facing the tire) - supposedly M5 - but I don't think they are - m5 is too large and I can't seem to get any to fit... Ugh

    Thank you - I've been trying to loosen that, but it just keeps spinning in place - is there a nut within the plastic?

    Not sure when, but somehow, my rear left turn indicator (2025 storm GT) is loose. Guessing somebody bumped into it at the parking garage - no visible cracks/scratches. I tried to tighten the 5mm Allen screw, but it just seems to spin without doing anything. Any guidance on how to realign and...

    Darn - you are right about the moving parts. So if I paint the top surfaces (the ones that are visible in closed position), it should work - when it is open, the saddlebag will cover it anyway. Thank you!

    I had the M8 (2019) and totally agree - similar in size/weight. But very very different rides. The fatbob has torque, but the rocket storm just has a lot more of it (and power). The 2019 fatbob felt more nimble than the Dyna and other HDs, but the R3 is more maneuverable.

    I ride a high powered motorcycle - and am acutely aware of the risks of doing so on public roads. The risk of a battery catching fire bothers me way less than the other risks. Can laptop batteries or cellphone call batteries catch fire? Yes. Do I use a laptop and cellphone every single day...

    The forum managed to stay relatively focused on motorcycles, and on motorcyclist helping each others so far. Hopefully that will continue.
