Sucks that this happened, really, it might've been nothing you did, might've just been a previously weakend valve finally quit. Impossible to know really.
Back when I was stock I think I had 31 or 32 in it at high RPM, but compression differences etc.
28 would be tame at 8.6:1, not sure at 11:1, but intuitively it sounds quite high, but if the other two are ok, it's hard to believe #3 was the first to burn down, it's the coolest cylinder on my engine, so probably not a timing issue.
