Thanks for your empathy (pity?), busajack, but I'm afraid it's misplaced. Over 45 years of riding and about 20 different rides, no horror stories. Plus, because I do my homework on who will do my servicing and since I only use established, reputable shops, I always have recourse if something isn't done right. I may be relatively inexperienced or unprepared to do any necessary wrenching, but naive I am not!

just did mine 30000 mile service had 4 valves adjusted and 6 plugs replaced at the shop just a little over $400
