Hi, I have joined the forum as I'm seriously thinking about switching from my Harley Streetbob into a new Rocket 3 Roadster.
I'm from Lincolnshire in England, I'm in my mid 40's and have ridden bikes for 30 years now, mostly the current sports bikes of the time, but over the last few I have decided to cool things down and get back to enjoying the bike rather than just using it to supply my next adrenaline fix .
The Harley is great, it's reminded me of the reasons I got into bikes originally and I will always have a passion for the rawness and soulful character of these bikes now, BUT there's something about the Rocket which is telling me I need to own one while the opportunity is available .
When I was 16 and bigger was better in the biking world the Honda CBX1000/6 was my ultimate want, I worked my way through the ranks after passing my test, CB400 CB750 CB900 and came close to buying a CBX once but by the time I could afford it, newer faster better handling things were everywhere and I ended up buying into the latest fashion of SuperSport 600's and 750's.
I always had an itch to try a late model V-Max but never got around to it as I was more into Fireblades and Ducati's by then but THIS TIME I think the time is right to scratch that itch and buy into the Rocket.

It's taken 30 years for me, but I feel like the Rocket has got the same crazy overkill attraction that the original CBX1000 had only this time it's within my reach. Sounds like I have just talked myself into it really, just need to sell the idea to the wife now...wish me luck

Hi buddy

I grew up in lincs and started by biking days there.

Sports bikes are my background, after a few years out of biking i got the thunderbird in 2010, then got the new r3r in June

For me it's the perfect combination of cruiser style riding with the big wtf, sport bike speed rush when you want it (and believe me you will want it more and more)

It's a seriously addictive bike

I suspect 2014 is going to be your best biking year so far :)

if your wife is anything like mine take her a test ride on one give it a gentle  blast (just make sure you dont do in first or you might find the front wheel of the ground) and if she says "WOW" you know it is a done deal

By your avatar i thought you were a mix between a copy machine and a Ducati:)
Welcome from Tulsa!

I wouldn't buy one...hate mine...been trying to sell it for months :whitstling:
