I'm curious as to what bike you are comparing the rocket to? Built 300+hp sportbikes? B/C even in the restricted oem form this bike still pulls to redline effortlessly. If your bike really bogs down at 50% throttle then there's something wrong with your bike. If it just does not feel fast it's b/c the bike is so stable at speed; you can cruz at 140 all day
You are absolutely right about comparison. Some of us feel torque different then others. I just know that my sportster i built with 103lbs of torque with a 550lb bike out pulled this Rocket at the moment. Hopefully its just a software issue.

First thing I did was a tune. Just from reading about all the restrictions these bikes were supposed to have. Then I did a full exhaust and DNA filter, and another tune for those mods.....I would at least get a tune if I were you. If nothing else.
This feels like buying a dozen eggs and getting 8 of them when i open the box. Now i have to spend more time and money finding the other 4 eggs.

I called the dealer, they have not got back to me. It must be stuck in break in mode. Im just frustrated with this. Must be a software issue i would hope.
I don’t know how far you live from a dealer but if it’s within an hours ride I would show up in person and demand to speak to the manager. Also, if one of the service guys won’t call you back then request a different guy. Try a sales guy. It’s hard to believe they run a shop that refusing to call back riders. I don’t want to insult you or insinuate you aren’t trying hard enough but you have put up with this situation long enough. You may have to be a tad firmer with them when speaking about your Rocket. I’m getting jacked up just thinking about your situation. You want me to go down there?:) Seriously, call back and stay on their ass. Good luck.

Yeah, I definitely get the frustration. I knew about it before I bought the bike. So I factored in a tune like it was just another dealer fee. Still sucks for sure. I paid $23k for a bike with a $19k sticker on it in the showroom. I don't know anything about computer stuff, so I paid like $900 for a BT moto tune, and $75 for a shop to load it in my bike. But no way I was going to have an artificially neutered bike. I bought a non storm '24 purposely because the ECU isn't locked. I figured the tune would get the bike well over the 15 HP difference between mine and the storm. I wound up doing a full exhaust and air filter and BT moto sent me another tune for those mods at no charge.

Thanks Mighty Mouse for your concern first of all. The story is deeper then that. I am going to a different dealer then i bought it because those guys wouldnt fix the water pump leak that started after i got it home. Because they only had 1 mechanic. The second dealership fixed the problem just fine. I called them yesterday morning about this software issue and he has a full schedule till tuesday. Now i live in Deer Park Tx. My dealership is in KatyTx. So my ride is across Houston. Not complaining but Houston sucks to drive across.
