Don't know,
but Both our bikes get about 20-21 MPG.
Both are on darkside tires.
Hers is totally stock except for the beetle bags and Riken raptor.
mine, not so much.
Same mileage....
I figure I dropped about 10 MPG with the tire,
but, who cares?
I feel so much safer on any road riden so far,
it's a trade off I can live with...
Well I got ya beat there Josey.......I got to ride the Cherahala before you on mine....
We did almost 200 miles yesterday.......I got a little bit of everything on my first darkside ride.....Including gravel road......didnt like that much as it was not only gravel but real fine sand too........we turned around cuz it was 11 miles of that crap.......exploring new territory we was
Once I got used to the dark side and quit fighting the thought of having it on there I sat back and relaxed and I really like it now......
The only think I didnt encounter yesterday was wet roads......Imagine that.........riding with rainman and not getting wet....
After going darkside with a 225/55-16, my mileage improved slightly. Yours may be down a bit right now because of the right-hand mileage killer grin factor. After you get over the initial wow-this-is-nice stage, your mileage should improve.
Skip, you must have the Dobeck's pumping a lot of juice right now to get that poor of mileage. Nothing to do with the tires.
