The TRIBAL FUND from the old R3owners.com site that was used to help downed or injured riders was donated on 11/30/2020 to the Gary Sinise Foundation charity for veterans (confirmation code 37456923). The fund had a balance of $4491.29 remaining so I donated $4500 + the service charges ($33.75). I discussed donating to veterans with David Harvey and David Pearce of Australia. Charity Navigator gives this foundation a 98.23% rating and the CEO only takes a yearly salary of $54,451. Established by the Forest Gump actor who played "Lt. Dan," Gary Sinise has worked nearly 40 years advocating for our nation's defenders. It's outreach supports those who sacrifice to defend our country, including active duty military, veterans, 1st Responders and their loved ones. This is the most highly rated charity of those serving veterans etc. Gary Sinise has visited troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world and his band (Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band) has played for troops there and in Kuwait, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, U.K., Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Singapore, Guantanamo Bay and throughout the U.S. in an effort to help boost the morale of our troops and military families. Gary Sinise also wrote a 2019 NY Times Best Seller autobiography entitled "Grateful American: A Journey from Self to Service."
