they say the women that was taken by a great. white yesterday was at tathra ,hanso ,brian ,ruzzle and i were having lunch there at christmas time,i recall looking out over the water and thinking how beautifull the place is,she swam daily with agroup of people at the same spot for the last ten years ,bloody sad

Yeah, Pete, beautiful spot, BUT!! S'pose it's a bit like getting on an aeroplane, generally you'll be OK. Fancy your odds...????

I'm sticking to my arrangement with them there fish. I don't go into their puddle and they stay outa my yard. Works well so far....

I saw this last night my thoughts go to the unfortunate ladies husband and family. Her husband of 44 years was swimming with her when she was taken. I agree with the earlier posts about Tathra a very nice spot we were there in Sept last year took a lot of photo's.

Go into the ocean ..you take your chances, agree with Ruzzle. She got away with it plenty of times though , but odds are that one day .. sad for family for sure.

It is a tragedy for the Husband and Family and the Tathra Surf Life Club , The Newsreels showed the Club Members and Emergency Workers in the water straight after searching for her remains to at least give the woman a decent burial ,with no thought of their own safety ,they are a special breed our Surf Life Saving People.

To bad... Those people are a special breed for sure... I lived right where some of the biggest great whites trolled the ocean in south africa and I stayed on the beach...

Crap....yet another reason I joined the army and not the navy. I couldn't imagine what the family is going through. My prayers go out.

Reported last night that the husband - who was swimming with the group - said it was a bronze whaler.....

Not that it makes a lot of difference...........
