I’ve bought many bikes from “Dealerships” and have good relationships with them.
I've had mixed results with more postive than negative. My local (Tucson) Triumph dealer is reputable... can't speak for the HD yet though, which was Terrible in Miami...

I am learning from a trusted knowledgeable rocket owner that recently went to a respectable dealer it was not a good experience, and after seeing his over torqued cam cover squishing the gasket out i wonder if they did his valves, a lot of places are having to hire plug and play guys and the experienced mechanics are just not available for several reasons. Adjusting valves can be extensive on a rocket.

My friend was a lifelong motorcycle mechanic, had his own shop for 10 or 12 years, the local Triumph dealer offered him $15/hr, so that should tell you the quality of people they hire.

All I can say is today's dealers are not concerned about returning customers. All they seem to be interested in is sales, not service, even on new sold bikes. Low air in tires, low or no engine oil, no suspension adjustments...
