So, I'm putting together a trailer to haul the R3 so that I can get some more interesting rides in with Mrs J3 this year. What I need now is a decent set of ramps. I have a set but found out last night that the beast is a bit too heavy for them (don't ask how I found out )
Anyone point me at a decent set of ramps that will...
a) hold the weight
b) be wide enough that I'm not puckering on the way up and down
c) don't cost a mortgage payment
If it's just on to a trailer just get them made or weld them yourself. They won't have to be long, my trailer just has 2" angle iron and it's never bent. 1-1/2" square tubing with angle iron rungs will work. Steel is cheap.
I load her up on my truck had a ramp made up in two parts steel tubing and grate 8 feet long with a 36 inches wide stance total cost $400 solid as a rock BTW I load her up with a small winch, mounted on the front of the box using bike power looks good on video but not recommended in real life so have a welder do yours steel is cheap
You do know that this picture is not politically correct. The truck is a ford and everybody Knows that only Harley's are allowed in the bed of Ford pickups.
