Oh yes, Hello from central California.

Welcome from western Washington. If you're doing 900 mile days as a senior citizen, you're pretty tough. I'm with you on the too loud pipes. I had Jardines 3-2 on my 2007 Classic and they were so loud they resonated in my helmet. I replaced them with TORs which sound a bit better, still with improved performance, didn't drive me nuts.

I did something similar with my 09 Touring, installing a Viking crossover pipe and TORs.

And yes, the urge to keep tweaking our machines is overwhelming. I can never let well enough alone. I had a perfectly good set of Stage 1 mufflers on my Indian Scout but replaced them with a very cool aftermarket ones and while they have the cool factor look going for them, they are just a weeeeee bit too dang loud.
