Other than the upgraded timing sprocket/tensioners my '05 has never had a malfuction. 9 years with no ignition or headlight or other common issues. I know the guy who bought it new and he had no problems, I have had no problems. He rode pretty easy and I ride pretty easy, don't do burnouts etc. Let it rip on occasion but try not to slam the drivetrain on it or any other of my vehicles.

Just did a 1000 mile run today... I don't feel lucky, I have done over 100,000 miles on my rockets combined with no issues other than tire recalls on the R3T...

I have only 1600 miles on mine, but hope its as reliable as the vtx1800 that i came off of. I banged it hard at every takeoff and never had any problems. If it isnt built to withstand wot at every opportunity maybe it should'nt be "The most powerful motorcycle ever built"

Long as we be bragging - I'm over 21,000 miles in 23 months.

Start of my third riding season and now have about 35,000.

Small steps grasshopper...

I am used to it and do about 8, 1000+ mile days a year. I usually draw the line at 1200 per day...

I do between 25-35k a year...
