OK, having not a lot of experience owning my rocket (just bought it this year), I do notice that it seems noisy when I shift gears (meaning a good clunk(ish?) noise when I shift), I kind of think this is normal but just wanted to make sure. Also, I wouldn't mind making it a little louder so I am tempted to remove the baffles from the end of the stock pipes, anyone have much experience with doing that? Would it be worth it? Thanks.

I don't think removing the baffles will make the clunking noise any louder, but you might try it and see what happens. Kidding, they all clunk to some extent especially when dropping into first at a stop. Try slightly delaying the shift between gears after applying the clutch.

Your wasting your time with the pipes. As for the clunking check to insure proper free play in the clutch. What oil you rinning? Want her to shift smoother try mobile 1. Over the years since Triumph switched to castrol many people have posted how much smoother their transmission is after switching back to mobile 1.
