if everything goes right in a couple weeks me and stb will be heading out for the trace we r going to ride it from the beginning to the end starting just the other side of nashville if we have enough time once we get to natchez ms we may head towards bourbon st in la
if anyone been thru there would appreciate some good places to eat like a mom and pop restuarnt
 
Not sure about on the trace, but we have been kicking around a ride to New Orleans...maybe we can hook up with you guys at the end of the trail...
 
That'll be good Wendy wants to go to bourbon street hoping to do that if we gave time
 
We used to hit the quarter a couple times a year but haven't been in a while so we are due :D
 
BTW...one of the requisite stops for chow in NO is Drago's for charbroiled oysters...they are "slap yo mama" good
 
Not sure about anywhere else, but we have to watch algae blooms down here as they tend to indicate a higher bacterial level in the water although thats not a direct indicator. In any case these oysters I'm talking about are cooked to perfection so the bacteria are dead...and very tasty :D
 
And yes...they tend to happen in the warmer months...which for the gulf coast is...about 11 out of 12
