Mystery to me........

A big THANK YOU to Big Kel, Rocket Scientist, and CanberraR3 for your correct diagnosis of worn pads. At 13,000 miles, I didn't think it was was time to check, but I was wrong. I took it to a local v-twin shop to have them replaced, as my nearest Triumph dealer is 160 miles away. They had the job done in 20 minutes; I guess the mechanic didn't need the Triumph service manual after all.
To the second set of questions; no, not really a heavy rear brake user. In fact, I find using the pedal to be an awkward, toe pointing exercise. I am fitting a set of floorboard next, down and forward (6'3", 250 lbs. here), and am going to rotate the pedal higher, for size 14 boot clearance and a better location for me.

Thank you all for your input

Guess I'm just a heavy braker! I do tend to drag the rear a lot in the twisties, but I'm on my third set with just under 20k. They were also dragging some until I adjusted the caliper a little.
If it took them 20 minutes, that's 15 too much ;) it takes 5 minutes max to change the rear pads! Glad you got it all worked out though!
