hear ,, hear..
I took the plunge and bought the small (25foot) diesel motorhome I have been searching for a while luck is that I flew via san franscisco to brookings oregon to find the M/H from the internet not in somebody driveway as expected and told over the phone but in a junkyard passing itself as used car dealership after cursory inspection I hightailed out of there and according to locals drove to junction city in oregon a small town full of reputable dealers
and by shear luck a trek 25 with diesel engine was there was sold but finances were not approved so I bought it
the meaning of my disgressing is to let the good folks on this site know that I will do my best to go to maggie meet last weekend of may 2012 and this winter I will make a stop in california where BBQ and beer has been offered "wink wink" and Mex I will also come by and say hello tambien. I will pull the R3 in a small horse trailer behind the M/H as I cannot ride thousands of miles confortably anymore regardless of the saddle used beside my better half (38 years of marriage) rides only on short stints.
hope to meet as many as possible

Hopefully we'll see you around...unless it is after January thru...say July...then I might be back in the sandbox.

You travel safely...you hear?

Dennis

Hey man glad to hear you got your motorhome they make dollies that will let you put a bike on the front part and the car on Dolly

never seen one!! stand corrected just saw one on the net not good, too long!

but the trailer I am buying is small and I can also throw "stuff " inside like tools chairs etc etc . first I have to complete the paperwork in junction city. clear canadian custom then get inspection done for provincial and federal agencies then re register and insure the thing

I, too, am looking for a smaller RV. Just about ready to buy one after months of research, endless test drives and more researching.

I look forward to seeing you (and other Rocket Cap'ns) at MV in May.

And there is always BBQ and beer waiting for Rocket Riders passing though my neighborhood in SoCal!:)

same here looked high and low for a small RV found the safari TREK to be about right . few have the front 8.5 gm diesel engine I got lucky
I found a 1999 diesel with 40 000miles in good shape for an even $21 000 I also found out they are very popular these days ,they do not stay on RV lot very long considering that the equivalent 3 years old RV runs in the $50 to $60 000.

Looked at the Toyota RVs; too small and underpowered.

Now looking at the Roadtreks. Those are impressive.

Will check out the Safari TREK.
