Hello all, I'm still a sport bike rider at 67 and love it! When Triumph brought out the R3 back in 2004 I just had to test ride one. I've wanted one ever since and finally settled on a very nice X model. Lot's of tweaks on the way, starting with the Dave Platt Outlaws, Ramair and LSL roadster handlebars. I really don't like the original bars and want something more 'sporty' haha.

Ha, you're like me. I'm 67 and ride a couple of KTM 1290's. One thing I can say before you start trying to turn the rocket into a sport bike is PEG DRAG. ha ha. The Rocket's weak point for sure. Unless there's less cornering on the new ones.

Great to see others still tearing it up! I'm 6.5" tall and all arms and legs, I find the standard bars are way to close and make me lean back which I don't like. Hopefully the Roadster bars will balance things up a bit. I have to switch my brain out of sports mode on the Rocket, I haven't scraped the pegs yet, but then I've only ridden it twice so far.

Greetings from sunny North Texas. The Gen 1 bikes were great, (had one for about 17 years) but I'm really liking the Gen 2 I have in my garage now. Enjoy the new new to you wheels. Also I ride this from time to time and it's a hoot: (and I'm 72)

I would have loved the gen 2 but they are way too small for me, it looks like a toy haha. That bike looks awesome, and I can see like me you haven't succumbed to the 'I have to slow down' mantra. ;)

Yeah, can't go fast everywhere. When I'm wanting to do just a laid back toodle down the road I ride this thing: it has enough pop to keep it interesting, but it won't keep up with my son-in-law on his Speed Triple. (Why I have my Speed Triple (and Thruxton R)).

I always have the awesome Sally on the back wherever I go, so have to be selective with my bikes. I tried the new Harley Breakout thinking it would be good for the odd bimble, but I just looked ludicrous on it haha.

Starting to get spooky, I'm 6'5" too. All torso, as you might be able to tell from my windshield
