Just bought my first Rocket 3. It’s a 2014 Roadster. Bought it south of Dallas. I live in Oklahoma and drove it 5 hours back home on Saturday. As a first time owner, any tips or recommendations? Here’s a picture of the bike.
Greetings from sunny North Texas. Tip 1. Be careful your right wrist doesn't add more 'fun' than you can handle. Tip 2. Make sure the brake pads are in good shape in case tip 1 gets ignored. Tip 3 Buy some ChapStick for the permagrin you're about to develop.

Welcome, love the matte black Roadsters BTW, it's my favorite but I might be bias as I own one too.
As for tips and recommendations, don't get too stressed, there aren't any miracle maintenance secrets that will make it last forever. Follow the manufactures guidelines and don't keep yourself awake at night or send yourself broke trying to achieve a gold standard. There isn't really any massive inherent problems with the Rocket other than the fact that it is a freaky engineering marvel so things will go wrong sometimes, it's not an off the shelf mass produced commuter bike, big performance brings reliability/engineering compromises. With that said how you ride it will impact it's well being too, it is capable of destroying itself if constantly pushed hard.
Ride it, enjoy it, be sensible until you learn about it (then go nuts if your heart desires it). Don't stress about it, things might go wrong but accept that and don't let it ruin your fun. If you have issues or questions post them here, there are plenty of friendly knowledgeable people to help. Enjoy.
