I priced out full coverage with 3k for accessories on both a R3 and a Speedie. The R3 would add $200 to my annual rate; the Speedie $479. The difference between the two accounts for about one tire change for the R3, making both bikes cost about the same. I really thought the tire costs would knock the R3 off for me; turns out not to be the case.

So $479 is your annual rate?

That's one hell of a lot better than mine. My monthly rate is $131.

Mine is 1000$ just for plate thats with 40 percent discont and another 500 and change for the rest through private

I'm with Progressive and went through one of their brokers, not online. Also, they're the only insurance company i've ever used and my rates go down annually, and the coverage is slightly increased. But a word of caution about Progressive (which I learned about today and has me thinking about switching): in big cases resulting from accidents, their lawyers will actually work against you and work with the other company to prove you to be at fault so that they don't have to pay for your claim!

$479 annually, liability coverage 30k, full comp on the bike, $500 deductible, and $3000 for accessories. This was the quote for a 2012 SpeedTriple. The same coverage for a 2012 Rocket3R per year was $212. And I currently pay $190 annually for my 2007 Bonnie for the same coverage.

€1066 for 1 year fully comprehensive with all the bells & whistles

this is what happens when you're 27 with 3 years NCB and a high end bike in this country. a yamaha R1 would have been 800 bucks

Under $400 per year from State Farm in NJ which has the highest auto rates in the US. They lump everything over 750 cc into the same class. In fact it was the same rate for my Boss Hoss which no other insurance company would even touch!!
