Hi from Florida

Hi BigDog,

Welcome from Collagen County! Just an FYI - I bought my 07 from National Powersports in Pembroke NH. They shipped it right to my door, the whole experience was outstanding. They also covered a repair that technically was not under the warranty. They have a couple Rockets in stock.

Mark, thanks for posting the link. Checked it out. The one listed is a bone stock model. Im looking for one that has "stuff" already on it..LOL. Manassas Triumph had a real nice 08 with all the bells and whistles but that sold pretty quick. Ill just wait until the right one crosses my path. I didnt think I would like another bike after the Venture but I will be limiting my search to the R3 Tourer.

Welcome from the Northeast.. my oldest daughter lives in Gainesville. Take a ride down to Ormond Beach to Bruce Rossmeyers. There is a Triumph dealer there that has some good deals. During Daytona Bike there usually is a huge auction going on a Rossmeyers, usually Harleys and Custom bikes but you might get lucky now that the Rocket has become popular. I attended one awhile back and couldn't believe the deals some walked away with.

Hello from Houston and welcome aboard. Hang in there...it seems that these things find you more than you finding them. When the right one comes along any hesitation you may have now will disappear completely. Good luck in your search

Nice bike. Looks like you took care of it. I had looked at the venture. It was too "old man" for me at the time. But I've grown up a lot since I've owned the rocket and I can really appreciate that bike for what it is now. I think triumph should do what Yamaha did there. Instead of making the Rocket III Roadster and the Touring model look similar but be 80% different, they should have just made the Roadster more sporty like Yamaha did with the VMax and then put some more plastic on the Touring like they did the Venture. It's not a bad concept.

Big Dog, I do my business with Triumph Manassas and Ken finds several good R3s each month, just wait a few days and he may have another.

I just gotta say you have some balls saying this on a forum that has recently "come out" as having an average age of 57 years, Amigo!

Welcome!

Credit wise, I'm in a similar situation.

I bought a NOS 2012 R3R at a low interest rate (for a bike) I think 4.9% (dealer was used to seeing 7.9-8.9 from that bank).

Got the wife a new car last January at 1.75%.

Anyway; I recommend that you get a new one, as you'll get a better interest rate, plus a factory warranty.

Rick

I agree with Rick. There are no or low interest for 24 months outfits that bank on you not paying off within 24 months.
Depending on your situation, you might consider one of them.

Boog, I will contact Ken in the next few weeks and have him contact me if something comes along. Thanks for the info. Hope to score something by the summer.

In the meantime ill play with the other toy.......
