Rick McC,

Sometime we should talk about your thinking that laying over would ever stop you sooner than remaining on your tires.

I came back early from the hunt camp Sunday AM to take the wife to the Homosassa S.F., but she decided she didn't want to deal with the crowds and parking, so we didn't make it there this year.
We rode into Brooksville (where I grew up; fifth Gen. Fla. Cracker) for lunch at Mykonos II, then stopped by to see my Dad.
Had to go across Centralia both ways, as she doesn't want to ride on either Hwy. 50 or 19 south.
Eventually I'll get her off the back roads, but Suday was only the forth time she's ever ridden on a motorcycle in her life.

Well, Rick Hello and welcome from Sunny South Florida (though today - not so much). I don't get up to Hernando County that often - how are things up there today? Are you getting the cold front hitting the Panhandle - or are you still far enough south of it?
Anyway - welcome to our little playground here. You have some nice roads to ride to the north and northeast of you around the Ocala National Forest. Get over there much?
Heh heh heh
I remember owning and riding a motor with apes and no front brakes back in 63 when young and invincible . . . and stupid.
I thought myself real cool because it was a great chick magnet back in high school.
Take away that front brake = kiss off about 75% of your brake efficiency. Therefor your side sliding friction coefficient was very similar to that of a rear tire only.
Wow - when we were young . . . .
