Hello from Pennsylvania

Hi Steele Rocket
Sorry to hear about your troubles..Hope you sort it to your liking
Please keep us all updated

Hello everyone.

I just got off the phone with the dealer.

They have found an issue with the valves.

I asked if they have the policy where if someone wants a bike they do not have at the moment that they get one from another dealer.

He said they do get additional bikes that way.

I asked him to get another Rocket III Tourer SE in for us.

That we do not feel comfortable hitting the road on a bike with major issues attached to it.

The dealer contact said he will make this request known to the General Manager.

I said this is okay unless they get the next bike in line that was assembled after our first bike.

The old saying is: "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me."
The saying for pushing a 800+ pound Rocket in the dark is: "Push it once shame on you, push it twice - and we may have to kill you!!!!!!!".

So things are looking up for us.

Thanks for everyone's concern.

The Steele Triumph Rocket WILL fly again!!!!!!!!!!!

God bless!!

Hi
Can i just ask you if the total mileage for the bike is 74 miles
And was it new to you..or was it a demo bike with some miles on it

Ray

Ray:

Brand new - no miles on it yet at the point we left the showroom.

So no prior demo rider to blame for screaming the engine.

Michael

The dealer just emailed.

They will have a new Triumph Rocket III Tourer SE to their dealership by tomorrow.

Preliminary thoughts give us a new Rocket launch from Camp Hill, Pa. this Saturday morning!!!!!!

Once again, we will be proud new first time (for the second time) Triumph owners.

Two thumbs up to Yamaha Triumph of Camp Hill, Pa. for taking seriously this dilema, keeping us in contact, and getting us a new bike when it was obvious the first has serious issues.

I would recommend them to everyone.

Thanks everyone.

God bless!!

Great news Michael and Karen
Still intrigued to know what happened to a motor with less than 100 miles on it
I guess you will try to find out
God bless to you to

Ray

G'day SR another Aussie welcome, lucky you have a decent dealer that didn't pull any scam and did the right thing.

Well this morning we go pick up the new Rocket.
It is a 2 hour drive one way.
I am a little nervous after the first one died out on us.
I will ask them what the issue exactly was with it.
But it was valve related I hear.

It does not help my confidence level in the bike after reading the thread about the man's Rocket that had the engine blow up on him at 19K miles.

I will report in later on how the visit was with the dealer and how the ride home was.
I do know that I really enjoyed the initial 73 mile ride.

God bless!!
