Hi all, I recently bought a Triumph... Spitfire. The engine seized 10 miles down the road and all I can think about now is swapping a Rocket engine into it. Joining the forum to learn about tech tips and potential issues to look out for with the Rockets.

You were looking at one of my bikes for the engine, I would recommend having your existing engine rebuilt; it will be a lot easier in the long run.
I served a good part of my apprenticeship working on the old Triumph cars, good cars yes quality built hmmmmmm

Thanks all! I found a good core for the Spitifire engine, drove 12 hours round trip to secure it and spent that many more disassembling it and removing the bad engine. I just can't get excited about putting 60hp back into the car.

So I have put a deposit down on a 2008 Rocket Classic. No ABS or CANBUS to deal with and the gauges will look sweet in the dash of the Spitfire!
