LHS gear shift ... just to solve the "welded tab" conundrum
 
I still see no welded tab. I see the un-used factory tab and a hole drilled in the shifter where the linkage is attached.
 
That's what I see too.
Yeah that picture shows it more clearly I think you will find it is the original Roadster lever but they had to drill the new hole to match the forward position of Std lever the rails I have, have the proper std lever and brake pedal the only possible problem I can see is if your roadster brake master cylinder mounting holes are the same as a Std but I will check that out before hand
