Hello from NSW Central Coast

I can see how they moved the shifter side, but I wonder how the rear brake was extended?

Also, does this mean that roadster foot controls can be fitted to older bikes?
Yes there is no reason why not it is only the brake line that could cause a problem cos of the ABS, I could not see in Craigs picture but it possibly has a flexible and longer brake line fitted or the previous owner had a new fixed line made

Is it a tab welded on or just a hold drilled in the shifter arm?
It looks like that tab on top above the pivot point is where the linkage mounts in stock configuration.

I ask because I'm trying to learn.
see my above post yes it appears that they have added a tab, well done except they left the hole from the original postion

Incidentally, Crag the Std Rails which will have your feet at about the same distance forward as you have now will lift them giving you more ground clearance in case that is an issue for you

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I do like the feet-forward riding position so am not looking to relocate the pegs back to their original position. I do occasionally scrape the right peg on roundabouts and tight twisties but am not sure whether that is due to riding style or a result of the pegs being relocated. Either way it doesn't bother me too much. My heel usually touches down first so I get plenty of notice that I am close to max lean angle.

@HansO thanks for your feedback on the filters. I do like the look of the triples. I will look in to some of the options you mentioned.

For the curious, I will take a couple of good quality close ups of linkages, brake lines etc.

I might look in to that @HansO. Would it be a simple job to change them over or would I need to be handy with a welder?

no just nuts and bolts mate I would even come up for a ride and help ... good excuse for an overnight ride

probably drag Ruzz up as well he likes coming for a good ride it would only take us about 6 hours we can grab a motel help you then the three of us can go and night out ?

just looked it up on Google Maps and they say 4 hr 56 min so I was far out and we would probably lose an hour between traffic, road works a pee stops etc

Thanks for the offer @HansO. I'm definitely interested. The trick will be finding some spare time in my calendar. This is peak season for the sports taxi … 2 boys, ~5 games each weekend. I will have to look forward in the Draw to see what free slots exist.

If it's a nuts 'n bolts job I might be ok. I'll have a closer look today how it all hangs together.

I was actually going to suggest mid week as that is when I have my days off if that works with you, send (thru Conversation) me your mob# and best time to ring if you like
