G'day from Aus, 3 test rides and your still not convinced it's the baddest arse bike on the road, are things moving a bit slow in NC mate. Just wake up to your self buy it, and bloody ride it man, the only down side is when you get off.

Unfortunately, I decided to stay where I am. I took the 16k cash I had ready to put down on the Rocket, paid off the VTX, two credit cards and some other small stuff I had laying around.
I am somewhat disappointed. I really wanted the Rocket. Again, Im not here to bash the bike or brand. Visions of my 07 Vstar 1300 T returned. I did the same type of research and found many mechanical issues with that bike. I bought it anyway. For three years of ownership it was a nightmare. Ill spare the details. Here and on other boards I did find history related to mechanical issues with model years through and including the 09s. I obviously was unable to find much data on the 10's and 11's because they are either newly sold or still on the floor. The single most substantial piece of information was the poll I found here related to the number of owners having trouble free bikes. Only 46% of owners, folks here on this forum, have/had trouble free bikes.
At any rate, thanks again for the info .. you folks are gems and I hope to see you on the twisties !! Ride hard. Ride safe.

The VTX is a nice ride and the ROCKET3 is not for everyone. I have both and the VTX is for sale. RIDE ON :flame:
