Hello all, I’ve had my R3 GT for a little over a year, contemplating exhaust and eyeballing Vandemon non evalve with titanium headers. Any downsides of titanium over stainless headers?

Greetings from sunny North Texas. The only downside is the cost. The Vandemon's are beautiful, sound great but are 2 to 3 times the price of their competition.

Welcome to the forum. Funny, Mesa was the answer to a crossword clue today. 3rd or 4th largest city in Arizona, I forget which.

Hello Rocketstimpy,
I have the Vandemon e-valve exhaust, and love it, pricey but it is nice to be able to switch to stealth mode on long rides.
The headers, the titanium headers are 1/2 the weight of the stainless headers, the titanium model has springs, I don't care for the springs.
Both models flow about 19% more air at the exhaust port, and 9% more at the header outlet pipe.
Im going to order the stainless headers soon. This will complete my performance upgrades.
I have the Penner tune map installed, free flow air filter and love the way the Rocket runs now. It pulls a lot harder now than in stock configuration.
Also I get over 40.5MPG on the highway.

Thanks for the input, how’s the sound at higher speeds? I had a Yamaha snowmobile 4 stroke 3 cylinder that resonated really bad at high rpm’s. Pretty annoying. Don’t want the e-valve, more parts, more to go wrong.
