Guys,

I finally got around to installing a GIPRO w/ATRE on my Rocket III Standard 2009.

Everything went well install wise, when I powered it up the display lit with a "0" and thought all was well.
Then I fired up the bike, shifted into first from neutral and it died with both engine lights on the speedo came on.

Would not start with the clutch in, shut it off, shifted into neutral and nothing just engine lights.
Now nothing just lights and the GIPRO indicator. Bike is DOA and I am at a loss. No starter motor!

Anyone have any ideas????

Thanks,
rac

Might be something with your signature name. OE-Guy. Should have left the bike OE.....:D

I'd be checking battery terminals and load carrying connections for oxidation. Sounds like there is a high resistance to amp draw. That's a symptom with check engine lights illuminated and no starter.

It's the first thing everyone does when installing the GiPro and trying out the indicator.

Yup I've done it too. On my Trophy the switch died years ago and I wired the bike so as not to use it, then I get a new Triumph and have to get uused to it all over again. Trying to 'teach' the GIPRO the gears was hard!
All the best T.
