G'Day from Western Australia

Hi everyone, Dennis here in Perth Western Australia.
I am the very proud owner of a 05-R3... sorry to say it had a few problems recently but Triumph supplied a full mod kit FOC bringing it up to the 09 specs .
I live in the burbs of Perth with my loverly wife Saori who is a great fan of the bike :D
Anyway glad to be here and look forward to joining in, so thanks for having me:)

Now that she's at '09 specs .... time to bring her up to R3Owners.net specs. lol
How does the wife feel about MORE POWER ?
Break out a legal pad and a box of pencils .... this site is a goldmine of information on "how-to's", "what-for's" and "Why-the-hell-not's".

Welcome to the site, enjoy that "new" engine.

Re: More power

Let me say in reply to.. my wife and more Power...Whilst on Holiday recently in the north of WA and bearing in mind my wife had never been passenger on a Bike before, we were cruising in a remote area at about 120, I saw the straight road ahead..I considered the safety aspect but couldn't help my self, so I screwed it gently wide open (hoping she wouldn't notice) whilst at the same time scanning for kangaroos and other obstacles I managed to get a glimpse of the speedo as it was creeping over 200 and still climbing.

At this point I thought don't push ya luck son and throttled back I said over the blue tooth did ya like that..200? yep was the response. on the way home we hade 9 hours ride ahead of us and after an hour of 110 Saori said with her Japanese accent "can we do 200 again then we can get home twice as quick" I smiled to myself and I knew she would never worry of complain on the back of the bike she is always nicely relaxed.

I really think She would love more power in the bike Hellfire :D

Well, it wouldn't take much at all to get 140hp and 150 foot lbs torque (est) coming out of the rear wheel in all gears. This is the site to learn how. :D

You got me interested HF

I just ordered the GiPro unit :)
I was wondering should I remove the secondaries as well while I got the tank off?
Is there much advantage with the std exhaust sys?

Yes I would remove the secondaries with the GiPro.
This is as far as you go without fuel management. Decide on either Power Commander (PCIII), Tune boy or the latest toy ... ECU Freeware before changing out the exhaust or intake. Personally I find the PCIII is the simplest to work with but you might be more computer savy than I.
If there is an issue like decel popping or anything, the plates can always be put back. But the GiPro itself will not change any mixture settings on the bike, so no worries.
You will love the low gear power increase.

Thanks

Thanks HF really appreciate your valuable help and advice. As for more deeper Mods, well, gotta keep Saori safe on the back there  I rarley get to ride the beast alone...
