Warwick bridge opened about 12.30 so went to town to buy more wine..couldn't go to work due to floods..fallen tree cut up and turned into logs for the fire..so sitting here at home this afternoon enjoying a glass of wine..sun shining..flood water receeded to a point where only cleanup required..Cunninghams gap still closed for possibly up to a week..highway nice and dry with some potholes that are very visible..from my place to the Toowoomba turnoff about 20 k's with only 3 roads leading onto the highway that would possibly have a couple of local vehicles to interupt the peace and quiet..Rocket in the shed that hasn't been started for over 2 weeks...........and I said to the wife 'I'm bored' !!!!!! There's an epiphany there somewhere.

I was working on the gap ,from the top heading down towards the bp garage on and off for a year . That section of road has a lot of large slips .the actual road opened up six inches .they had all this electronic equipment set up that measures movement, boulders move and this activates an alarm and gave us a couple of seconds warning ,the alarm activated once ,we all took of running.this all happened after the floods 2 years

If I may ask, how far north does the damaged areas extend. I have a niece in Atherton that we haven't heard from. Hopefully, she's just out working storm response.
