Hi Kev

Me too......But maybe for only 3-4 sec. did your fuel light come on momentarily. Also, at one point the rev needle jumped up a bit, with no increase in revs……
In fifth gear around 1500-2000rpm it just cut out and immediately bump started itself……

My bike has done this once maybe twice. Been a while so can't remember if it was before or after supercharger or both. Never happened if the throttle is on, only at idling/low revs. Easy enough to start again but is a safety hazard if it happens. Most likely has to do with the bike's idle control and maybe the last tune fix (recall) took care of it.

could be the tank tilt sensor

it shuts off the engine when the bike is fully on its side or upside down. mate had a faulty one on his hd. took $3000 and 18 months for the guys at the shop to find it....

You're talking about the emergency tilt sensor. Might be a problem if you're consistently shutting off while leaned over but in the sporadic cases it's probably not the issue.

For my bike, I think it was more an idle control thing. She's died when going straight before. But it is another sensor to look at if you have problems. Can include the kickstand sensor too.

The kickstand sensor might be the culprit. BMWs have had this problem too. Sometimes the best thing to do is disable it. Riding off with the kickstand down is generally only done once before the valuable lesson is learned.

I know that when very low on gas the Rocket can cut out leaned to the right. I once made it about two miles to a gas station by flicking it hard to the left whenever it sputtered so it picked up a bit more fuel.

You sure there's a switch like that on the Rocket? I know on fuel injected autos have them. Seems to me that my Rocket started without any tinkering after my crash...I slid with it on its side for forty feet before ricocheting off guard rails, where it continued on for another twenty feet without me.

I know I detest that ****ed safety feature on the Rocket that shuts it off when you push down the side stand. You can't even start the bike and let it idle with the side stand down and let it warm up! The last time I rode off with a side stand down I was 6 on a bicycle!

Native One

Native, you CAN let the bike sit on the sidestand and let it idle. Just put her in neutral.

All modern bikes have the sidestand switch these days.

And yes, GR3Y, there is a tilt switch. It normally resets automatically once the bike is back up again so no fiddling is needed.
