I emailed Owner Jim of Eastern Beaver yesterday to see if he could receive and process orders....and received a reply overnight that he and family are safe...they are far south of the damaged areas...taking orders as they come in. just an FYI....
Did you speak to him directly or order the R3 custom harness? We that did them before the lengthened harness was available had trouble making space for the relays. The longer version allows the relays to be placed under the tank rather than behind he headlight buckets.Placed my order today for the H4 Relay...will be glad to get it installed so i don't have to worry about the freakin' ignition going out on me again...![]()
I ordered the one from the link in #11 post in this thread....says it is longer so relays can be placed unnder tank...
Hard to believe how white and bright the headlights can be ain't it? It really makes a difference riding at night, the two weren't worth a **** before in the dark. I noticed that for whatever reason, the R3's headlights were aimed either too high on high beam or too low on low beam ... there wasn't a happy medium. They still won't aim for ****, but the brighter light helps out a lot.And it works fine, just fine. Good stuff. You will be happy. I am going back out and ride now, can't believe the light. I can feel the heat about 4 feet in front of the head lamps. Check your lead length, one is longer for the headlamp furthest away, and follow the instructions.
Using the standard length harness will work fine, it's just nice not to have to make room for the relays up front. There is plenty of space unless you have other goodies up there too, like headlight modulators and stuff.Guess I missed the Rocket specific site as I ordered the standard H4 relay setup for two headlights. Will have to make use of the soldering skills and change things up. Now if only the snow would melt and a good strong rain would wash the roads clear of winter debris.
