I am the type the rides my bike a lot but beyond changing the oil and the brake pads I am not much into working on it. Additionally reading you folks and your tech talk I am soon over my head and confused, lol. So I would appreciate if anyone who has sent their ECU to DNK to have them program it would let me know if they would do it again. Is it worth the expense? Also, and here comes the question that will really highlight my ignorance: Where is the ECU located on the GT’s? The ECU on my old Touring was under the right side panel but I dont see it there on the GT and I dont see it in the manual. Thanks for any info!

The ECU is under the seat. I strongly feel the DNK tune is a complete waste of money given that Penner's tune gives identical performance and is completely free (minus the small cost of TuneECU). I'm sure there are a number of members that would be happy to help you tune your GT. If you're in the Tucson area, I'd be happy to help.

Thank you so much for the response. I am certainly not against saving money, plus not sending off the ECU won’t have my bike down for a week or so. I did try to put a map in my old Rocket but didn’t have much success so obviously I need help comma, LOL. Looks like I need to make a run to Tucson!
