Rocket 3 Classic
Old man: check!
Not ridden for ages: Check!
Got the bike bug again: Check!
Bought a ridiculous bike to get me on the road to motorcycling again: CHECK !

Rocket 3 Classic - 2006 ........ absolutely adoring it so far although definitely need to continue getting my biking legs back again

Greetings from sunny North Texas. I'd be more concerned with controlling my right wrist than either of my legs if I hadn't been on a bike in years. Rockets are torque monsters and can get you sailing down the road at warp factor 3 in a blink, be careful out there.

Welcome from Tucson Arizona USA
There is a lot of old guys on this site some has even out lived the rocket

It really doesn't matter if I fluff my gear change lol! Anybody would think it's got a 2.3ltr engine in it .. oh, wait .....

The 'beast' can take off in 3rd gear with enough clutch slip. And the 2.5 liter bikes pull even harder (especially after installing Ulf Penner's tune, yeehaw!)

Welcome from Exotic Idaho. I'm an "Old Guy" too. But with 59 years of continuous riding. I have 2 Rockets, an '06 2300 with a 230 HP kit in it and a "23 2500 stock but tuned. Even I take MSF or Star rider courses. I and the Forum recommend you may want to take some of these cources. You will be surprised how much they help us be better riders.
