Do any of you from down under live near Albany Creek? I am interested in a camper to pull behind the R3T. I'm planning a 4 month tour of the States and found a very nice small trailer from your neck of the world.

If someone was near where they build them I was hoping the could take a look see...

Thanks

Albany Creeks not too far away .. I could have a look for you. I'm up to speed on camper trailers as we're looking to buy one for ourselves .. to tow behind our 4x4 though. Let me know if there's anything special you need me to check out other than the build quality.

Gidget

Here are the spec on the Gidget...

I've asked further questions such as US electrical, if brakes are available, type of suspension (my understanding is that rubber is better).

I would like to know how if feels... when in it and using it...

Does if feel well finished, a quality piece of equipment.

My plan is to travel slowly, get to know an area before moving on... so I would park it a "home base" and travel out from there... then move on when ready and do it again.

Starting in Florida and move north, up the east coast, then across the norther states and Canada. Up to Alaska in the summer, down the west coast, then zig zag across the states on the way back.

Would prefer a "hard" camper than a pop up.

I don't have the address, just a PO box in Albany Creek... their phone number is on the PDF.

Thanks

If you could take pictures when you go, that would be great. No rush... When ever its convenient.

You should perhaps get a quote on shipping it to the States (if they don't have a distributor there that is) pretty sure shipping costs for something that size would be really expensive. If you are happy with the quote and still want me to have a look at it let me know ok.

Maybe have a look at 'Expedition Portal' website .. perhaps you will find a similar styled camper available in the States .

CUB or Kamparoo .. the Aussie company that makes the camper like Hanso has distributes it's products in the US and Canada. They actually seem to be cheaper in the US than they are here in Australia. Lots of bikes tow the smaller Cub Campers here in Australia.

Bushtec in TN has a camper called the Bunkhouse. I have seen it at the plant in Jacksboro easy to get to off the expressway. Very nice setup.
